"Power Ministry" with Jesus?

Let's redefine what can seem a scary term and discover the biblical promise of Jesus' continuing love and power, touching the lives of hurting and broken. people around us.
A key facet of being an intentional disciple of Jesus, like His first disciples, is participating with Him as He does good works in the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:38). We need to get over the misconception that we are different from them in this regard and that, in our day, we are relegated to being a Sunday audience for weekly rehearsals of the great things Jesus did in the past. -

This conversation is courtesy of Google’s Notebook LM Ai and is based on chapters 11 and 12 of my book, "The Intentional Disciples of Jesus."

Chapter 11 explores the concept of "power ministry," arguing that modern disciples should expect the same relationship with Jesus as the first disciples, emphasizing seven key lessons for understanding this ministry.

Chapter 12 examines the role of the Holy Spirit in ministry, questioning the assumption that Spirit baptism is a prerequisite for powerful ministry and proposing that ministry is a partnership with the indwelling Spirit of Jesus.
